What is Dreambits?
Dreambits is an ad-free digital library of illustrated books for younger children and their families. Read together or let your child discover stories independently, with optional narration where available. The service is operated by Valentin Labs AB.
What makes the reading experience child-friendly?
The reader shows one page at a time and lets children turn pages at their own pace. There are no adverts, points or competitions. Sound is optional. An adult chooses books that suit their child using the book descriptions and recommended ages.
Can my child read independently?
Yes. Children can turn the pages themselves and listen to recorded narration where available. An adult manages the Family Account and chooses books to suit their child’s age and needs. You can also read aloud together and talk about the pictures.
Does my child need an account?
No. An adult creates and manages the Family Account, where you keep favourites and choose languages. You can explore book information without signing in. Creating an account does not start a trial; full reading access requires a trial or subscription when subscriptions open.
Can we read without audio?
Yes. Read in silence, with narration, or with narration and background sounds. Recorded narration varies by book, page and language. Background sound has a separate volume control, and you choose whether narration starts when you turn a page.
Which languages are available?
The app is available in English and Swedish. Books follow the app language by default, but you can choose a separate book language in Account. If your choice is unavailable, English is used where available, otherwise the book’s original language. Text and recorded narration vary by book and language.
Do we need to download an app?
No. Dreambits runs in a modern browser on your phone, tablet or computer. An internet connection is required; offline reading is not available yet.
How do the free trial and payment work?
When subscriptions open, new subscribers get 14 days free after completing subscription checkout with a payment card. After that, the price is $9.99 USD per month or $79.99 USD per year, including applicable tax. Your plan renews automatically unless you cancel before the period ends. Subscriptions are not available to purchase yet.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In Account, you can manage your subscription and cancel its next renewal. Access normally continues until the end of your current trial or paid period. Read the terms for full details.
